paperboard structure.
Made in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains), region of
Thuringia, Germany in the early 1900s.

Faucets were made to operate, and still may!
On the rear view photo note the 2 bins on the left.
Top one was filled with water to supply the sink and the bottom bin was to catch drain water after stopper is removed from sink drain.
The bin on the right was meant to supply water to the tub side wall faucet.
(We believe that filling the shower tank with water would supply the second
faucet in the bathtub.) The curtain rod across the entire front of the room is used to afford
the dolls a little privacy!
