Gingerbread Mold
Hand carved in oak in 1894 and signed by the maker
(if you can make it out).
Incredible detail! Double sided with a total of a dozen figures.
A lady who came into our gallery told of making gingerbread
with
a similar form when she was young and living in Holland.
It was made by filling the form with batter and cooking the
cookies
still in the wood form inside a stone wood fired oven.
